Pembrokeshire County Council is advising people to take care on the roads tonight (Tuesday) and tomorrow.

Predicted bad weather means that road conditions might be “challenging” over the next 24 hours.

This morning snow fell over some areas of Pembrokeshire, especially the highest part of the Preseli’s, with a section of the B4329 affected for a period.

Motorists and the travelling public are advised to keep an eye on the most up-to-date forecast as further heavy and wintry showers are predicted overnight - possibly down to sea level, although most problems are likely to be above 100 - 150 metres.

Meanwhile icy conditions are predicted to affect all areas.

The Council will be gritting the county’s primary routes in accordance with its pre-planned programme of operations.

Details of the routes can be found on the Council’s website at www.pembrokeshire.gov.uk/winterdriving where motorists can also view advice on staying safe while driving in ice and snow.

Live updates on the weather and any impacts, including any effect on schools, can also be found on the Council’s website: www.pembrokeshire.gov.uk and on social media: www.facebook.com/pembrokeshirecountycouncil and www.twitter.com/pembrokeshire
