PUPILS with physical or learning disabilities will be able to learn in a variety of different ways, thanks to a donation from Milford Haven Round Table.

The group recently presented Milford Haven School's additional learning needs department with £250, which will be used to buy specialised apps and computer programmes.

A spokesman for the school said: "As a school, we believe that technology can provide great learning tools for all learning abilities and it is transforming the way we teach.

"Both teachers and students can see the benefits of using technology to support the more traditional methods of teaching.

"It enables endless opportunities to create hands-on, personalised learning experiences and reach more students with apps and books geared to any level or subject.

"In the ALN department we support a large number of children from Year 7 to 13 who have additional needs such as autism, speech and language difficulties, dyslexia, dyscalculia, ADHD, visual/hearing impairment and physical difficulties and now there are apps available offering support in all areas.

"Last year, we were very fortunate to receive a donation from the Ingles Trust to buy a number of iPads which will make a big difference to the ways in which we can support our students.

"However, apps can be very expensive and we rely on the generous donations from groups such as Milford Haven Round Table and the Ingles Trust to provide these opportunities for the young people of Milford Haven School."
