NEYLAND Community Gym has welcomed its 40th new member, since opening three months ago.
The gym is run on a not for profit basis by Neyland Community Interest Company (Neyland CIC) and is designed to be as affordable as possible at £5 per month.
The 40 square metre facility aims to offer a good range of fitness and strength equipment and is open to members from 6.30am until 10pm.
Cllr Paul Miller, Project Lead for Neyland C.I.C, said: "The Community Gym has been a real success story so far.
"People can get access to a decent, local gym and it's open 15 hours a day, 365 days a year.
"Everyone at Neyland Athletic Club and Neyland C.I.C is working hard to bring our community facilities into the 21st Century and the gym is part of the first phase of that work."
