THE Dragon LNG Darwin Experience education programme has been wowing young people across Pembrokeshire for a decade, with around 10,000 young people taking part in a range of science, technology, engineering, and maths (STEM) activities.

The programme, developed and delivered by the Darwin Centre based at Pembrokeshire College, works with every school in the county from nursery pupils to Sixth Form and Further Education students.

This March as part of British Science Week the Darwin team hosted the showcase Science Aglow event at the Merlin Theatre, Pembrokeshire College.

Schools from across the county; including St Francis School in Milford Haven, presented their science investigation projects, took part in STEM workshop, and were treated to a live science show on music technology.

Marten Lewis, of Darwin, said: “The long term funding and support from our partners Dragon LNG, has allowed the Darwin Centre to build wonderful links with the schools and STEM provider’s right across the UK, the project really opens the world up to our young people.

"It’s a pleasure to be involved in such a fantastic programme of work, aimed at inspiring and enthusing young people, raising aspiration and having lots of fun!”
