The A40 into and out of Haverfordwest was closed this afternoon following a serious collision at Arnolds Hill this afternoon (Friday) involving a motorcyclist and four vehicles.
The latest news from Pembrokeshire County Council is that the road has now reopened.
The Western Telegraph traffic feed, stated earlier this afternoon: "A40 both ways closed, busy but moving due to serious accident, a motorcyclist and four vehicles involved between A4076 (Scotchwell Roundabout) and A4075 / B4314 (Canaston Bridge Roundabout). Sensors show traffic is busy in the area."
Pembrokeshire County Council said: "Diversion routes and signs are in place via the Cleddau Bridge.
"Please take care if travelling on back roads as they could be busy.
"The length of time for closure is unknown at present but could be for the next 4 to 5 hours."
The road was closed for around four hours.
