A FREE fun day for social housing tenants hopes will see arts and crafts, dance workshops, play sessions and more on offer at Milford Haven Leisure Centre.
After their 'Big Day Out' attracted more than 300 local tenants last year, Pembrokeshire Housing and Pembrokeshire County Council are organising another free event in the town.
Taking place on August 6, this year’s Big Day Out promises to be even bigger and better, with more activities, entertainment and stalls.
Activities will include balloon modelling and bird box making, plus bouncy castle and plenty of fun and games for all the family.
Tenants who attended last year said “An overall fantastic day out, brilliant idea, children enjoyed so much”, “Superb day out, and disabled friendly”, “Fantastic event, fun and informative”.
Sue Rogers, vice chairman of the Tenants' Panel, said: "We've listened to all the new ideas tenants have suggested and are confident that this year's event will be a great, fun-filled family day out for all our tenants with loads of activities for all ages to enjoy. I
"I've really enjoyed being a part of the team that have made this all possible and am now looking forward to the day itself where I hope to join in the fun and meet lots of new friends. See you there!”
Elin Brock, director of housing, added: “It is an important date for Pembrokeshire Housing, as not only does it provide an opportunity for tenants to come together for an enjoyable family day out, but it is also an opportunity for staff to meet with tenants and chat about their homes and communities.
This is a chance for Pembrokeshire Housing to talk to tenants about improvements to services and introduce new ways of working.”

Lunch and transport are also provided free, and there are also fantastic raffle prizes up for grabs.
