EXPECT no half measures this weekend, as the ninth Beer and Cider Festival gets underway at Haverfordwest Castle.

Last year, more than 2,000 thirsty punters stopped by the unique venue to enjoy the county town's annual celebration of Wales' tastiest brews.

After 2014's successful event - which saw more beers, ciders, perries and liqueurs on offer than ever before, including stalls, live music, face painting and more.

It is hoped that this year's festival will be another vintage year.

The fun starts at 5pm on Friday, August 28, and goes on until 10pm.

On Saturday and Sunday, the event runs from noon until 10pm, sot here will be plenty of time to get the drinks in.

Local bands and artists will provide the family-friendly entertainment, and there will also be craft and refreshment stalls.

Food will be available from Trehale Farm, and Claws Shellfish - perfect to complement a local tipple.

Entry is £3 for adults, to include a special souvenir glass.
