A SALON owner from Milford Haven says she has been left feeling ‘upset and disturbed’ after her shop was burgled.

Neighbours alerted Sarah Knill, who owns Salon 63 in Pill Lane, to the incident, which took place between 6.30pm on Friday, August 28, and 9am on Saturday, August 30.

A hole, big enough to fit a hand through, had been cut into the glass front of the shop, and costume jewellery worth around £60 stolen.

Sarah said the thought of criminals targeting her shop was upsetting and disturbing, and had also left neighbours shaken.

“It’s a lovely community in Pill, and it’s sad to know this can happen here,” she said.

“I feel they must have known what they were doing.

“It’s a quiet area, and no-one heard a thing.”

Although relieved that not much was stolen, Sarah believes whoever cut the hole must have thought the jewellery was more valuable than it is.

Sarah will now have to replace her shop window, and get a new sign made.

But, she said, this was only an ‘inconvenience’, and was more concerned that this was a ‘practice run’ for the burglar or burglars.

“I just don’t want it to happen to anyone else,” she said. “I want these characters caught.”
