A BATTLE of the bands resulted in another gold award for Milford Haven Junior Town Band recently.
The pint-sized performers travelled to snowy Merthyr Tydfil, where they performed a variety of pieces, including Let's Twist Again and Rule the World.
Beating off competition from five other bands to win a gold award and be named best percussion section, tuba player Nia Llewellyn also won the trophy for youngest tuba player, and Rhys Evans was named best instrumentalist.
"It is amazing to think how far the band has come in just a few years," said musical director Bron Parratt.
"Last year we took part in three competitions and had two bronze awards and one silver, so for this year to come away with all of those prizes is amazing.
"Im so proud of each and every one of our members, and would like to thank everyone who has supported the Junior Band through this amazing journey."

The Junior Band is holding a 'Just Before Christmas concert' on Sunday, November 29, at 5pm in the Pill Social Centre.
Tickets are £5, and £3.50 for concessions.
