TWO men had a lucky escape after the car they had been sitting in rolled into the Cleddau.
Firefighters were called to Hobbs Point in Pembroke Dock just after 11.30am this morning, following reports of a green Seat Leon in the water.
A concerned couple had spotted the car, which was almost fully submerged in the river, and called the emergency services.
Luckily, the driver and passenger were then located on dry land.
Two men had been in the parked car, when the driver is believed to have got out to use the toilet.
When the car started rolling down the slipway, the passenger made the hasty decision to exit the car.
The two men were unable to stop the vehicle as it rolled into the waters of the Cleddau.
It is understood they had then left the scene to report the mishap to the police.
