NEYLAND Town Council will be marking Armed Forces Day tomorrow (June 25) by flying the Armed Forces Day flag at its offices.
The event is designed to show support for the men and women who serve their country in the armed forces and extends from serving troops to service families, veterans and cadets.
On Sunday, June 26, special prayers and hymns marking Armed Forces Day will feature at the morning service in St Clement's Church at 9.30am and will be conducted by the Rev John Hancock.
Mayor of Neyland Cllr Simon Hancock said: "Our brave service men and women will be uppermost in out thoughts this weekend.
"Neyland men have served and paid the supreme sacrifice in all the wars of the twentieth century, including the Boer War, First and Second World Wars and Korea as well as in Northern Ireland, Iraq and Afganistan.
"We owe them a debt of gratitude which can never be repaid.
"We must remember the fallen but also care and support those who have served and their families."
