A PEMBROKESHIRE police officer is due to appear in court, after being accused of perverting the course of justice, the Western Telegraph can reveal.
PC David Richard Norman, 52, from Haverfordwest, will appear in Llanelli Magistrates court next month.
A spokesman for Dyfed-Powys Police said: “As a result of an investigation by Dyfed-Powys Police’s Professional Standards Department, a male officer has been reported for an offence of perverting the course of justice.
"The offence is alleged to have taken place during attendance at a neighbourhood dispute in Pembrokeshire on Thursday, January 21, 2016.
"The officer will be appearing at Llanelli Magistrates court on August 4."
The Western Telegraph understands the original incident was a call to an ongoing dispute between neighbours in Milford Haven which had escalated.
