A TOUCHING tribute from one fishing community to another took place in Milford Haven today.

The town held a special service in memory of 24-year-old fisherman Josh Winsper, from Penryn, in Cornwall, who drowned in April of this year after a night out while working in the port.

Led by Father Harri Williams, the service was a chance for Josh's family and friends to say goodbye to a much-loved son, brother, friend and father.

It was also an opportunity to thank the emergency services for their help in finding Josh's body after he went missing, and meet just some of the many locals who sent messages of love and support to the family in the wake of the tragedy.

Josh's sister Paige was among those to speak.

"From the moment Josh went missing we were instantly connected.

"People we never knew were out searching for Josh, sending the most lovely messages and even phonecalls to see if any more could be done.

"Just like his family you never gave up hope.

"A piece of our hearts will remain in Milford Haven forever and I thank you from the bottom of my heart," she said.

An inquest into Josh's death was held yesterday.
