A MOBILITY scooter 'run' between Milford and Pembroke Dock has raised around £500 for a local sports club.

Angela Evans, 61, raised the cash for Pembrokeshire Disabled Bowlers Club last month,

Travelling at a top speed of 8mph, Angela’s round-trip was also raising awareness of the club's work.

With members aged between eight and 80, the club is open to players of all skill levels, from beginners to competition winners.

Most importantly, it welcome members with a host of disabilities, from visual impairments to those with mobility issues, and is also used as part of rehabilitation by people recovering from a stroke.

As well as a chance to learn a new skill, it’s also a way to socialise and keep fit.

The club meets every Monday at Milford Haven Leisure Centre, between 2pm and 4pm.

There is no membership fee, and each session is £1, with a 15p contribution for tea and biscuits.
