THREE Milford Haven cadets have added new skills to their CVs.

In January exam body Edexcel joined forces with CVQO (Cadet Vocational Qualification Office) to offer BTEC qualifications in teamwork, personal skills and citizenship.

OC Hayleigh, OC Finlay and L/Cpl Niall are the first three cadets from Milford Haven Unit - and also West Wales district - to gain the qualification which will show commitment and dedication to future employers.

Once they have reached 16, they will also be able to go on to the BTEC Level 2 course.

Lieutenant (SCC) William Elliott RNR, Commanding Officer, said: “I am extremely proud of these three cadets for being our first BTEC Level 1 holders.

"We pride ourselves on working hard to provide an excellent cadet experience and this shows that we are doing just that."
