A TEENAGER from Milford Haven will be laid to rest with a piece of signed memorabilia from her hero Justin Bieber, following a huge online appeal.

Megan Evans, who died suddenly at her home on February 7, had tickets to see the pop star in June.

Following a heartfelt plea by her mother Nicola Harteveld, Megan's family have now received a piece of memorabilia signed by the Canadian singer.

Speaking on Facebook, Nicola said: "I never thought I would ever cry tears of happiness again, but I was wrong.

"Our beautiful, beautiful Megan will be looking down on us now, smiling from ear to ear, as her dream has come true."

She thanked dancer and TV star Victoria Tansey - originally from Hakin - and "the amazing Justin Bieber for his compassion in fulfilling her dream".

"Thank you, thank you, thank you once again to everyone from the bottom of our hearts," she added.

Megan’s funeral will take place today (Monday, February 20) at 1.45pm at St Katharine and St Peter’s Church, Milford Haven, followed by cremation at Parc Gwyn at 3.15pm.

Her family have asked that mourners wear Adidas clothing or bright colours, as Megan was 'the Adidas queen'.

Space at the Church will be limited, but anyone who knew and was touched by Megan can attend.

Added Nicola: "We as a family would like to thank each and every one of you for the wonderful kind words and gestures sent to us at this extremely difficult time, and take huge comfort in the fact that Meg was obviously so very loved by all who met her."
