OLYMPIC TORCH RELAY: Thousands line the streets of Haverfordwest
2:03pm Sunday 27th May 2012 in Milford Haven
Thousands of people have today lined the streets of Haverfordwest to welcome the Olympic Torch Relay to the town.
Areas around High Street and Barn Street, Prendergast and near Sir Thomas Picton school were several deep in places - including hundreds of children - to welcome the flame which arrived shortly before 12.40pm from Carmarthen.
Union flags and Welsh flags blew on the slight breeze as the Torch made its way through the town to Sir Thomas Picton School where it was placed on display for a short period.
One Torchbearer, Rhys Eynon, aged 22 from Clynderwen, told the Western Telegraph: "It was the most breathtaking and exhilarating thing I have ever done."
Fellow torchbearer Eric Mathias added: "The people of Pembrokeshire have done themselves proud."
The Torch relay leaves Haverfordwest heading for Fishguard and then on to Newport.
