Public urged to join the festivities with varied programme of events

A HOST of events are taking place across Milford Haven in July to celebrate festivities week.

The festivities programme is packed with events taking place every day through the wee,k kicking off on Friday, July 6. The final of the bowling tournament will begin at Milford Haven Bowling Club from 6pm.

❏ The Milford Haven Carnival parade will leave Waterloo Square at 1pm on Saturday, July 7.

❏ On Sunday, July 8, Milford Haven Carnival Open Fishing Competition will run from 1pm until 5pm.

The boundaries are Scotch Bay to St Thomas’ Bay. Book in from noon at Marina Helicopter Pad.

❏ On Monday, July 9, there will be bingo at the Manchester Club (Haven Club) at 2pm and open bingo at Pill Community Centre at 7pm.

❏ A Milford Haven Town Band Concert will take place at Memorial Gardens on Tuesday, July 10, at 7pm.

This will move to St.

Katharine’s Church Hall if it is raining.

❏ An Open Blind Pairs Darts Tournament will be hosted at the Manchester Club at 7pm on Wednesday, July 11.

❏ On Thursday, July 12, bingo will be hosted at the Manchester Club at 2pm (National Federation of Retirement Pensioners’ Association). A festivities quiz will be hosted at the Pill Community Centre at 7.30pm and the whist will be held at the Meads from 7.45pm (National Federation of Retirement Pensioners Association).

❏ On Friday, July 13, from 6.30pm until 8pm there will be a fun night with Milford Haven Swimming Squad at the Meads; a chance to meet the squad and join in.

The festivities will conclude on Saturday, July 14, with free entry to Milford Haven museum from 10am until 4pm and the mayor of Milford Haven, Councillor Guy Woodham, will host his charity gala concert at the Torch Theatre from 7.30pm.
