Agency continues 'close monitoring' of site near oil spill

THE Environment Agency Wales says it is continuing to ‘closely monitor’ the area surrounding Semlogistics tank storage site in Waterston following an oil spill at the site in June.
A spokesman from Environment Agency Wales said: “Our investigation into this incident has so far found that no oil has leaked off-site, and we are not aware of any further oil leaks since this incident.
Since 2005, where kerosene leaked off site and polluted the Milford Haven Waterway and the surrounding area, we have received a number of reports of diesel that is residual kerosene in the ground from that leak, often brought about after periods of heavy rain.”
