Police in north Pembrokeshire have been tackling parking issues outside local schools.

Crymych Neighbourhood Policing Team held a PACT meeting at Crymych Market Hall on Saturday, June 14 and provided an update on last month’s priority of addressing parking and other traffic issues outside school premises.

PCSO 8018 Cole and PCSO 8078 Lewis has visited local schools to discuss this issue with staff, and letters highlighting the problem have been sent home to parents.

Regular patrols have been conducted, especially at the end of the school day, which has deterred motorists from parking in prohibited areas.

The Crymych team will continue to carry out patrols and work closely with the schools to address the issue.

The priority for next month is to promote and advise parents and car owners about the use of appropriate child restraints in vehicles.

Crymych NPT will be speaking with motorists in the Crymych section and offering advice and providing leaflets about this issue.

The next PACT meeting will be at 10.30am on Saturday, July 5 at Crymych Market Hall.
