NARBERTH WI President Josie Sexton welcomed members to the January meeting at the rugby club. Returning members,Sylvia Rees and Joyce Pearce, were welcomed, together with new secretary, Meg Turner and new treasurer, Judy Smith. Judy presented the budget for the coming year. Several members will attend the tea on March 8th to celebrate International Women's Day and two teams volunteered for the quiz night on February 24th. It was also decided to take part in the Big Walk, Little Splash competition to celebrate the 2012 Olympics. The speaker, the Rev Peter Lewis, gave an illustrated talk on the First World War story of the Christmas truce. He was thanked by Meg Turner and joined members for tea. The raffle was won by Tess Clarke and the tabletop sale was managed by Pat Morgan. The next meeting is on Thursday February 2nd at 2pm in the rugby club.

CHURCH SERVICES St. Andrew's Church St Andrew's Church: Sunday - joint benefic service at Robeston Wathen. Wednesday, 10am, holy eucharist. Holy Cross Church, Robeston Wathen: Sunday - 10am, holy eucharist and Candlemas service. This is the only service in the benefice on Sunday.
