Gardeners often harbour mixed feelings about birds, but all was goodwill at Newport Garden Club’s meeting last week. Led by David Mathews and Derek Rowlands from the National Park, the club assembled nesting-boxes for robins and blue-tits using kits made from Douglas Fir thinnings at the National Park's Cilrhedyn workshop.
The next meeting will be held at Newport Boat Club on April 19th at 7.30pm.
Members will learn about making indoor and outdoor wreaths from their own plants.
