THE Pembrokeshire Tourism team was out and about in Stackpole and Lamphey last week.

On Tuesday, March 4 the team visited the newly built cafe at Stackpole Walled Gardens, which had just opened its doors for the season, followed by Lamphey Hall Hotel.

The visits formed part of the trade association’s out and about campaign, which gives new and current members the opportunity to meet Pembrokeshire Tourism staff and address any challenges facing their businesses.

The National Trust Stackpole, East Trewent Farm, Pembrokeshire in Your Pocket and Coast Consultants were just some of the members who attended throughout the day.

Whilst in Stackpole Pembrokeshire Tourism’s Chief Executive Maudie Hughes presented loyal member and quarterly prize draw winner Sheila Lewis of Poyerston Farm with a £50 voucher for Bethesda Meats.

Sheila, who has been a member with Pembrokeshire Tourism since it was launched in 2001, was delighted with the prize.

She said: “I think Pembrokeshire Tourism is great. If the county didn’t have this membership organisation then businesses wouldn’t have anything to assist them in the training and development of tourism businesses. To be receiving this award is a lovely extra perk of Pembrokeshire Tourism membership.”

Over the past six months the out and about campaign has proved very successful for the Pembrokeshire Tourism team, and will continue into 2014. The next out and about will take place on April 1 at Begelly Arms Hotel.
