PEMBROKE Probus held its AGM on March 4, laying a solid foundation for the continuing success of the club and its members.
One issue of concern was the slight downturn in numbers which will be fully discussed at the next committee meeting.
The outgoing president Geoff Hounsome was replaced by new president Robert Gorman.
Club members have been saddened by the death of Ron Brayford, a life member and former president and bar, on March 10.
Pembroke Probus spokesman Ken MacCallum said: “Ron could be fairly described as a club stalwart. He had a rare sense of humour and a sound fund of common sense.
“He will be sadly missed, he was a good hand. My sincere commiserations go to Ron's wife, Peggy.”
