CHARLTON B set good questions in a close round of the Pembroke and Pembroke Dock LVA Quiz.
The tightest match was at St Govan’s Inn where the B team took on Alma B. The match went down to the wire with the visitors snatching victory to claim their second win in a row.
Alma A welcomed the Naval Club. Another close game saw the visitors run out comfortable winners.
The fortunes of the two Station teams turned round once again with the A team taking a win from the First & Last and the B team defeating Charlton A.
The contest at the Oak was only decided by a six point margin when the home side overcame visiting St Govan’s Inn A.
In the final match of the night title-challengers Cosh Brewery travelled to play the Golf Club. The highest scoring round of the night saw the Cosh boys come away with a win to remain one point behind the Station B.
The gap has opened up again for the chasing pack with the First & Last fourth on 34 points, Alma A 33 and the Golf Club, Charlton A and the Oak on 27, and the Naval Club on 26.
The results for the round were: Oak 63, St Govan’s Inn A 57; St Govan’s Inn B 61, Alma B 62; Golf Club 69, Cosh Brewery 82; Station B 58, Charlton A 53; First & Last 65, Station A 75; and Alma A 66, Naval Club 75.
