ALMA A set the questions in the latest round of the Pembroke and Pembroke Dock LVA Quiz which saw the Naval Club as the night’s top scorers at their victory over Alma B.

Station A returned from St Goven’s Inn with their tails between their legs after a sound beating.

This meant the First & Last had a chance to close the gap on the third spot which they grabbed with a fine win at the Golf Club.

At home the league leaders Station B rediscovered their early season form in a comfortable win against Charlton B.

Cosh Brewery kept up the pressure at the top recording another convincing win over the visiting Ladies from the Oak.

At the Charlton, the A side’s dismal run continued with another defeat, this time at the hands of the St Govan’s Inn B.

The Station B remain top of the league with Cosh Brewery one point behind and the Station A now five points down and just two points ahead of the First & Last.

The night’s results were: Charlton A 61, St Govan’s Inn B 80; St Govan’s Inn A 74, Station A 65; Station B 85, Charlton B 66; Cosh Brewery 84, Oak 63; Alma B 57, Naval Club 86; and Golf Club 76, First & Last 83.

Quiz coordinator David Gledhill said: “Athough the league leaders have a game in hand with just five weeks of the season remaining, I still see the championship going down to the wire.”
