MACMILLAN Cancer Support Pembrokeshire Committee held its AGM at the Lamphey Hall Hotel on Monday, March 17.

Committee members and volunteers were welcomed by chairman Pauline Davies. All of the existing committee members agreed to stand again and they were unanimously elected to serve for another year.

During the chairman’s report, Pauline thanked all of the committee members and volunteers for the support they had given her and the charity in the past year.

The Pembrokeshire committee raised more than £70,000 in 2013. Pauline said this was a fantastic achievement and everyone should feel very pleased with their efforts.

The March committee meeting was held after the AGM. Members were told more than £6,000 has been paid into the committee’s bank account already this year.

Macmillan Cancer Support’s annual Dawn Walk, which starts and finishes at Pembroke Castle, will be held on Sunday, May 18.

There are 13 and 26 mile routes to choose from, heading from the Castle to Haverfordwest via Neyland and the Brunel Trail.

Registration is free, but there is a minimum sponsorship requirement is £50. Registration closes on Tuesday, May 13. For more information go to www.macmillan.org.uk.
