COSHESTON, Upton and Nash’s military connections have been explored at a successful Village Hall exhibition organised by Cosheston Community History Group.

A huge amount of research went into the final display which included photos, artefacts, stories and memorabilia.

Children from Cosheston V.C. School also contributed after researching the people named on the village’s War Memorial.

Visiting the exhibition before its opening last Saturday, the children showed plenty of interest in the displays and took part in a short quiz based on the exhibits.

Some were so interested they returned with their friends and families on the weekend.

Visitors were amazed at the discoveries and at how many people from such a small area had served their country in so many different ways.

The members of the history group would like to thank Planed and Valero for their support, as well as Scolton Manor for lending many of the military and household artefacts. Special thanks to everyone who contributed.
