IT WAS another successful year for Monkton Village Fair which was held on Saturday, July 19.

The whole community came together for the annual event, with compere Neil Thomas keeping the crowd entertained for the afternoon.

The hugely energetic Seren Fach Irish dancers, Kelly Williams School of Dance and a magician wowed audiences.

There proved to be something for everyone at the fair – from bouncy castles, face painting, glitter tattoos and traditional games to a lucky dip, guess the name of the teddy and a raffle.

And there were plenty of items for sale, including jewellery, plants and locally-grown vegetables kindly donated by Stackpole Mencap Gardens.

The highlight of the afternoon was the final of Monkton’s Got Talent, with individuals and groups performing a variety of songs and dance acts.

The event was organised by Monkton Young People First, and supported by local residents and Pembrokeshire Communities First.
