PEMBROKE Dock Mayor Peter Kraus is appealing for people to get involved in ridding the town of weeds.
Cllr Kraus’s appeal follows two recent cleans which failed to attract many volunteers.
On November 22, Cllr Kraus, Pauline Boswell and Councillor Phil Gwyther had a full day getting rid of those horrible weeds In Dimond Street.
“It was such a shame that more volunteers never came, as we would have been able to do so much more,” said Cllr Kraus, adding: “At the moment the whole of the top end coming in from Water Street to Dimond Street down as far as Gordon Street is now weed-clear.”
A follow-up wedding held on November 29, was hit by atrocious weather conditions.
Cllr Kraus is hoping to hold more weeding events and hopes more people will get involved. He is appealing for any would-be weeders to contact him on 07867765716 or by Facebook.
