Pembroke and Pembroke Dock Lions donated £200 to Blood Bikes Wales, which has recently extended its voluntary service for delivering medical equipment to Pembrokeshire.
THE Pembroke and Pembroke Dock Lions branch recently presented a cheque for £200 to Blood Bike Wales at Withybush Hospital.
Blood Bikes Wales are dedicated riders who come from various walks of life, working in full time jobs, self-employed or retired, fitting in shifts as required, regardless of the time of day or the weather, all with the common love of motorcycles.
The group of volunteers deliver medical items as safely and efficiently as possible.
Blood Bikes Wales is now looking for more volunteers as it has extended the service into Pembrokeshire as from March 1.
All the motorcycles are marked in Hi-Visibility decals and are specially equipped to carry the potentially lifesaving cargo.
