THE Rotary Club of Pembroke's Young Writer and Young Photographer competition received the largest number of entries since the competition commenced.

The theme this year was Our World is Beautiful and this generated considerable interest.

Also this year there was a competition to write a poem to commemorate the Queen's 90th birthday; this again received considerable number of entries.

The winner of the poem was Rhys Lewis from Pembroke Dock C P School, and his entry has been forwarded to the Rotary District Finals. The overall winning entry will be sent direct to Her Majesty the Queen.

The winner of the Young Writer was Eleanor Partridge from Pennar C P School and the Young Photographer winner was Finley Bruce from Golden Grove C P School - again the winning entries have been submitted to the District Finals in Cardiff.

All the children have made a tremendous effort and Rotarian Dennis Jones, who organised the events, would like to thank all competitors who took part, with a special thanks to the school staff for their excellent support.
