A RECENT street party to thank all the volunteers who helped tidy up and repaint parts of Pembroke Dock’s Front Street was a huge success, with some 100 people attending the September 10 event.
The event, organised by Pembroke Dock town councillor Peter Kraus, had plenty to keep the crowds entertained, with music by The Vagrants, dance from the Vibe School of Dance group, and Stuart Rogers and the Little Monsters entertaining the youngsters.
There was also a celebration cake, made by Tim Beard.
The nearby Maritime Heritage Society also joined in the fun, with some of its boats making an appearance on the water.
Cllr Kraus said: “It was my way of saying thank you to all the people who’ve helped me.
“I would’ve liked to have had more people there but you can’t do the impossible; it was on at the same time as the Pennar Hall fun day.”
Cllr Kraus, who has regularly organised litter picks in addition to the recent tidy-up, said: “Front Street is looking good now and the Western Way car park is brilliant; I’m trying to get tourism into Pembroke Dock and make the town a nice clean place.”
