THE first half of term at Pembroke’s Golden Grove School was rounded off with a spook-tacular disco at school.

The event, which was organised by The Friends of Golden Grove, was very well attended with pupils from the Foundation Phase and Key Stage 2 making great effort to dress in costume.

Food and spooky juice was served whilst the children danced to The Monster Mash and more,

Over half term there was an opportunity for pupils and parents to undertake some winter maintenance in the community garden, they also had a chance to try out the sport of archery.

The half term break was also an opportunity for the school to get a makeover in the hall.

Mount Pleasant Church, who use the hall for meetings each Sunday, undertook the painting of the hall.

A Values Tree, designed by local art teacher Gareth Jones, was also painted.

Head Teacher Andy Williams said: “We take every opportunity to provide the best possible facilities and experience for the pupils of the school and are most grateful for the assistance give to the school in so many ways.”
