THE car was the star when a splendid selection of desirable Porsche cars descended on Pembroke Dock Heritage Centre on a Saturday excursion organised for the South Wales Region of the Porsche Club Great Britain.

Over 20 cars of varying models and ages formed an impressive line-up in the grounds of the former Royal Dockyard Chapel.

Inside the centre club members enjoyed a talk by Sunderland Trust aviation historian John Evans detailing the story of Sunderland survivor T9044 - the Sunderland which sank off the town in 1940.

The visit was arranged by Terry and Sally Davison and cars and crews came from as far away as Cardiff. A repeat visit is planned for 2017.
