“A THOROUGHLY professional performance you would expect to see in the Torch Theatre,” was how one parent described the performances of Pembroke Dock Community School's Year 5 and 6 production of Aladdin.

Under the watchful eye of directors Leigh Phillips and Nicola Davies, the cast of 150 showed that their hard work and effort to learn lines and choruses over a short period of time was well worth the effort as the pupils produced a memorable production which was watched by two sell-out audiences.

After several months of practising and performing for the Shakespeare festival, the pupils moved seamlessly into panto mode and it was fantastic to see so many new pupils embrace the performing arts following the success of the Shakespeare group.

Head teacher Michelle Thomas said: “We were immensely proud of the pupils for their highly professional performance; the acting was fantastic and the pupils raised the roof with their singing. Thanks must go to the teaching staff Mrs Nicola Davies and Leigh Phillips who jointly directed and produced the highly amusing show.”
