PEMBROKE and Pembroke Dock Lions annual Santa sleigh run has proved a great success, raising some £4,000 which will be used for good causes locally.
The Lions sleigh, ably supported by the 1st Pembroke Scout Group and family members, took to the streets of Pembroke and Pembroke Dock from December 13 right through to Christmas Eve, other than a rest day on December 18.
The Lions sleigh attracting lots of well-wishers and local people donating to the worthy cause, with a highpoint for crowds a visit to Monkton.
Lions Chairman Peter Deponeo said: “It went perfectly, everything was fine over the 11 nights.
“The Scouts will probably get around £1,000, the rest goes to the community.”
