PEMBROKE Dock Community School recently turned into a sea of orange as the pupils and staff supported Go Orange Day in order to raise money and awareness for Muscular Dystrophy UK.

From orange football tops to full-scale Tiger onesies, pupils made a huge effort to show support for this fantastic charity.

In total, over £350 was raised and we owe a huge gratitude to all pupils and families who helped support us to raise this money.

In other school news, the football team was invited to play in the North Pembrokeshire Swansea Schools tournament at Tasker Milward School on February 1.

The pupils represented the school extremely well and were unlucky not to progress after only conceding two goals in four games.

There were some fantastic performances all round and the team deserve enormous credit for their attitude and behaviour throughout the day.

Budding snappers in Year 5 enjoyed a fascinating session with local photographer Susan McKehon on January 25.

Building up to the Rotary Photographer of the Year competition, the Year 5 pupils were given a 45 minute presentation on the work Susan has done, and in particular, focused on the theme of the competition - 'Reflection'.

Pupils were in awe of the work Susan presented, and her tips and ideas for producing a high quality photo will really benefit the pupils as they being to plan what photo they will enter into the competition.

The pupils and staff would like to thank Susan for her time and effort, producing a wonderful presentation for the pupils.
