ONCE again Pembroke and Pembroke Dock school children showed their skills in writing and photography when they took part in the Young Writer and Young Photography competition, organised by the Pembroke Rotary Club.
This year, the winners in both sections were from Pembroke Dock CP School, with Maddison Reynolds winning the Young Photographer and Ellie-May Bennett excelling in the Young Writer, with work based on Reflections.
Both winning entries have been forwarded to the Rotary District Finals, which covers 73 Rotary Clubs in South Wales.
There were also 30 commended entries from Pembroke Dock CP School.
A number of other schools took part, and there were five commended entries from Pennar CP School, and 11 commended entries from Golden Grove CP School.
Rotarian Richard Nordberg and Rotarian Dennis Jones, who organised the event, would like to thank all competitors who took part, with a special thanks to school staff for their support.
