THERE’S been some sporting success at Pembroke’s Golden Grove School recently.
In the Netball House Shield competition, Swans started with a 2-1 against Cormorants and then beat Herons 3-1 in their second game to be the shield winners. The final match resulted in a 1-0 win for Herons against Cormorants.
Cresselly Cricket Club hosted some exciting inter-schools cricket in the lead up to half term.
The girls from Golden Grove School narrowly missed a chance to go on the Welsh Finals after losing out to Hafan Y Mor (Tenby).
The girls had looked strong in the group stages with a win over St Oswald’s.
Head Teacher Andy Williams said: “The pupils involved in these competitions displayed good playing skills and should be proud of their achievements.”
Mr Williams paid tribute the staff involved in preparing the pupils for the games.
