A WELL-KNOWN couple from Llanion, Graham and Dot Roberts, have been flying high, celebrating their diamond wedding anniversary.

All their family from Telford, and other parts of the country, came down to join in with recent the celebrations in Pembroke Dock.

As part of the special celebrations, the couple were treated to a flight around Pembrokeshire with the Fly Wales team at Haverfordwest Airport in late July.

This was followed in early August by party, arranged by the staff at St John's Community Hall, Pennar.

In order to make it a day to remember they were picked up from their home by Spike in his magnificent 1910 Talbot convertible, and were taken all round Pembroke and Pembroke Dock, finally arriving at 4pm to the greeting of all the guests who were waiting to see the happy couple.

Graham and Dot were also very fortunate to have had a beautiful anniversary two-tier cake made by Geraldine Butland.

During the evening there were more surprises, when DJ Lionel Nutting turned up to give lovely background music. This was followed by the finale; the One and Only Elvis, Ed Owen, appeared and he sure brought the hall to life, and everybody had a fabulous time.
