WHILE Saundersfoot’s New Year’s Day swim grabs the laurels as the most popular was to brave the chilly waters, organisers hope Angle’s fourth-ever chance to see in the start of the year with a brisk dip will be its biggest and best.
The Angle swim saw 51 brave souls take to the sea in 2017, raising funds for Paul Sartori and the Wales Air Ambulance, with funds being raised for the same charities on January 1, 2018.
Organiser Joanne Lutwyche said this would be the last year she organised the chilly dip, but hoped someone would take up the mantle for ’19: “This will be our fourth and last New Year’s Day Swim. We want to make it the best one ever, Marcus will be serving his infamous bacon rolls and potato and leek soup, brilliant for the hangover. Come along and join in the fun and immerse yourself in the refreshing Angle sea, all in aid of two fantastic charities.”
To brave the chilly waters, meeting at West Angle car park from 11am for the noon dip.
Donations on the day.
