PUPILS at Ysgol Solfach did themselves and the school proud at the recent Area Urdd Eisteddfod in Letterston.

Three groups and one individual achieved success, and will now go onto represent the school, Solva and Pembrokeshire at the National Urdd Eisteddfod, which this year is taking place in Bala, north Wales during the May half term.

Year six pupil Cerys Rees-Harries will be playing the harp, Adran Solfawr will be representing the school in the Singing Parti, Parti Max in the Grwp Llefru, and Grwp Solfach in the Ymgom.

The pupils involved in these groups are: Cerian Churchill, Billie-Louise Voyce, Chloe Price, Jasmine Miller, Evie Young, Rhydian Rees-Harries, Cerys Rees-Harries, Max Barker, Missy Guy, Shannon French, Daisy Richards and Megan McLeod.

Ysgol Solfach headteacher Dilwen Smith said: “The whole school is delighted at how well the children have done to reach the National Eisteddfod and to be representing Pembrokeshire. We wish them all the best in Bala."
