Porthmawr Surf Life Saving Club

Porthmawr Surf Life Saving Club The AGM of the club was held at the Whitesands rescue station on April 28th.
The chairman, Richard Cox, thanked everybody for the efforts in ensuring the success of the club. The club captain Jack Middleton gave a report on the club activity in 2010 and the vital role his members had in providing back up for the RNLI Lifeguard's and in training especially younger members. Jeff Rogers presented his financial report, which showed a healthy position.
Membership fees remain the same with higher fees for seniors and lower fees for juniors and associates - due April 1st 2011.
There was discussion in various matters including the proposed closure of the Milford Haven Coastguard Station, car parking passed for duty lifeguards and storage for equipment.
Officer's were re-appointed as followed chairman Richard Cox, club captain Jack Middleton, treasurer Jeff Rogers, secretary Chris Parry.
The full time RNLI lifeguards commence duty on May 28th.
