St Davids restaurant scoops Welsh Good Food Guide award

PEMBROKESHIRE restaurant, Cwtch, has been named as the regional winner for Wales in the prestigious The Good Food Guide Restaurant of the Year Awards.

More than 27,500 diners nominated their favourite restaurants, pubs and cafés from around the UK, and The Good Food Guide Award judges have whittled the nominations down to name some of the best dining experiences the country has to offer. To qualify, restaurants needed to be independently-run, offering regional or local produce where possible and deliver consistently great food and excellent service.

Cwtch owner Rachael Knott, said: “We are all absolutely delighted. It is wonderful to have such great recognition of all the hard work that everyone at Cwtch has done. We are truly honoured.”

Elizabeth Carter, consultant editor of The Good Food Guide said: “”Cwtch means hug in Welsh and that is exactly what this simple, informal restaurant does embraces you warmly, even with the kids in tow.”

Cwtch, in St Davids, is one of ten regional winners. One will go on to be named as the overall The Good Food Guide Restaurant of the Year.
