THE centenary of the First World War is to be the subject of the second major exhibition by Saundersfoot Historical Society.

Members have been working hard for some months to discover artefacts, letters, photographs and other items to put on public display in the Regency Hall, Saundersfoot.

The exhibition will take place from Saturday, August 2, to Friday, August, 8 between 10am and 7pm daily. Refreshments will be available at the hall.

The exhibition is being supported by Saundersfoot Community Council and Planed.

In Whitland, there will be a First World War centenary commemoration service at St Mary’s Church on Saturday, August 10, at 11am. The service will feature moments of reflection on events which took place 100 years ago.

Memorabilia, family stories or history from 1914-1918 are being sought for a commemorative exhibition at Whitland Memorial Hall in November. Anyone who would be willing to lend items for this exhibition can leave a message on 01994 240127 or info@whitlandmemorialhall.org.uk or the Whitland Memorial Hall Facebook page.
