LOCAL boatmen and water organisations have come on board to help ensure the success and safety of this month’s Caldey Swim.
Taking place on the afternoon of Sunday August 31, the swim to Tenby looks set to raise several thousand pounds for the RNLI, thanks to the sponsorship of its 100 swimmers.
The event is sponsored by Princes Gate Water, Big Brum's, Milford Haven Port Authority and Skycam Wales.
Assistance is being given by Tenby Sailing Club, Saundersfoot Sailing Club, Pembroke Paddlers, Tenby Watersports, Tenby Surf Lifesaving Club, Merlin First Aid, and Bourne Leisure, as well as the skippers of the ‘mother ship’, Graham Waring, and supporters’ boat, Wayne ‘Harpo’ Allen.
Places on the supporters boat are £10, to reserve contact Val Coates Rees on 01834 843951 or valcoatesreees@hotmail.co.uk.
