Narberth WI Narberth Wi celebrated its 90th anniversary with a tea party at the rugby club. Guests included Federation president, Mary Howells and past presidents, Peggy Martin and Jackie Hole who were welcomed by Narberth president, Meg Turner.

A buffet was prepared and served by rugby club staff. Val Winter had made and iced a birthday cake. Members and guests enjoyed browsing through the many albums charting the history of Narberth W.I. Members Anne Phillips, Mavis Murrell and Jean Morgan were clad in 1920s costume, adding to the party mood. President Meg gave each member a hand- crafted book-mark as a memento of a special year.

The party was preceded by the annual meeting, when a new president, Josie Sexton was elected. Bunty Hallwood and Val Winter continue as secretary and treasurer and Pat Morgan joined the committee.

The December meeting will be Christmas lunch at Nantyffin on Thursday December 2nd at noon for 1pm The January meeting is at the rugby club at 2pm on Thursday January 6th, when new members are welcome.

Tenby Camera Club A specialist in urban images gave a talk entitled Get my Coat to Tenby and District Camera Club at its last meeting. Dave Mason, from London showed some unusual unusual images, taken around East London, before moving on to other parts of the world, including Morocco Lisbon, Valencia, Ltvia and Poland. At the next meeting on December 2nd, wildlife and landscape photographer Guy Edwards will give a talk.

Poppy appeal Hopes are high that Tenby's Poppy Appeal will once again be a record-breaker. Appeal organiser, Councillor Sue Lane, told Teby Town Council that she is confident that the money raised in 2010 will top last year's figure of £6,222, and thanked everyone for their help in making it a success.
