Tenby Chamber of Trade and Tourism has gone back to basics to show visitors the way round the resort.
The organisation has just launched its new town map to help traders and hoteliers give an instant answer to the ‘where is..?’ question.
Explained chamber president Chris Osborne: “Despite the new era of digital information to help tourists, there is still a demand for a clear, easily understood, ‘hard copy’ Tenby map.”
Local graphic designer Andrew Lowe of Signature Design was commissioned to design a new map - identifying such important locations as toilets, the lifeboat house, museum and bus stops - which has been produced in handy tear-off pads of 50.
“We can simply tear off a map, mark the location and hand it over,” said Mr Osborne.
Production costs of the map have been met by sponsorship from Heatherton, Folly Farm, Ritec Valley Quads, Battlefield Life and Manor House Wildlife Park.
