EASTER FAIR The Whitland Town Hall Easter Fair takes place on Saturday April 16th from noon to 4pm. Entry £1.50 to include tea, coffee and biscuits. Stalls and raffles, Easter bonnet competition judging and raffles drawn at 3pm. To book a table, at £6, call 01994 240053.

BRITISH LEGION The next meeting of the Whitland and Llanboidy branch of the Royal British Legion takes place today (Wednesday) in the Lamb Inn, Llanboidy at 8pm.

CRICKET CLUB Last week's 49 Club winner was Dr Chris Anthony. Pre-season nets will be held at Dyffryn Taf School on Friday evenings from 8pm-10pm on April 1st, 8th and 15th.

CREATIVE EVENING The talents of pupils at Dyffryn Taf School will be on show in a Creative and Aesthetic evening in the school hall on Thursday April 7th at 7pm. There will be drama, music and dance performances and art and design technology exhibitions. Admission is £4, including refreshments provided by BTEC Hospitality students.

OLYMPIC CONFERENCE Dyffryn Taf School recently hosted the iNet Olympic and Paralympic student leadership conference. The event was attended by schools across Wales, with the aim if inspiring students to promote the Olympic ideals in their schools. Students at the conference were pleased to meet Paralympic swimmer and double gold medallist, Graham Edmunds.
